The drama “The Scarecrow”continues to build anticipation with the revelation of its first official posters. Starring Park Hae-soo and Lee Hee-joon, the series promises an intense thriller where past and present intertwine in an investigation spanning several decades.
The story follows Kang Tae-joo, a detective forced to collaborate with Cha Si-young, a man he deeply dislikes. Together, they investigate a series of murders that rock their hometown of Gangseong, in a story that spans from 1988 to 2019.

A relationship marked by the past
Kang Tae-joo, played by Park Hae-soo, is a detective renowned for his instinct and powers of observation. After being demoted to Seoul, he returns to his hometown in the hope of restoring his honor.
But his mission takes an unexpected turn when he finds himself working with Cha Si-young (Lee Hee-joon), an elite prosecutor... and his former school bully.
Ambitious and strategic, Cha Si-young sees this case as an opportunity to get closer to power and satisfy his father's expectations. Despite their conflicting pasts, the two men are forced to join forces to solve this complex case.
Posters that create immediate tension
The first poster shows the two characters in a rural setting, surrounded by rice paddies under a blue sky. The atmosphere is reminiscent of the 1980s, with a luxurious car and a strong visual contrast between the two men.
On the one hand, Kang Tae-joo adopts a casual, almost rebellious look. On the other, Cha Si-young appears impeccable, perfectly controlled. This visual opposition reflects their tense relationship.
Above them, an intriguing phrase: «Will you investigate... or conceal the truth?» A question that suggests a conflict between justice and manipulation.
A second poster reinforces this dark atmosphere. The two men's gazes convey opposing emotions, while a scarecrow stands in the middle of dark rice fields.

The phrase «At last I've found you. My long-sought murderer» hints at a long, obsessive hunt, where truth and vengeance seem closely linked.
The production team also promises a striking chemistry between the two actors: «The explosive chemistry between Park Hae-soo and Lee Hee-joon will be one of the highlights of the drama. Their joint investigation, despite their past relationship, will be at the heart of the story.»
“The Scarecrow” will be broadcast from April 20 at 10pm (Korean time) on ENA.
