An ambitious project is beginning to take shape in the Korean drama industry. On September 24th, iMBC Entertainment revealed that Park Hae-joon had received an offer to join the cast of the series tentatively titled Everyone Is Fighting Against Their Own Worthlessness. The actor would consider the offer positively.
His agency, PLEO Ent, clarified, however: "It's true that he has received a proposal, but it's just one of the projects currently under consideration. Nothing has yet been confirmed."
A drama about inner wounds
Set in the world of cinema, this drama will explore the intimate struggles and emotional conflicts associated with feelings of worthlessness and existential emptiness. A strong, introspective theme that could make for a poignant tale. Starring Park Hae-joon, Go Youn-jungKoo Kyo-hwan, Oh Jung-seKang Mal-geum, Jo woo-jin and Han Sun-hwa are also in talks to join the cast, suggesting a top-notch line-up.
The series is written by Park Hae-young, screenwriter renowned for such landmark works as Another Miss Oh, My Mister and My Liberation Notes. Direction will be entrusted to Cha Yeong Hoonalready acclaimed for his work on Forecasting Love and Weather and When the Camellia Blooms.
If Park Hae-joon's participation is confirmed, it will involve his second collaboration with Park Hae-youngafter his acclaimed role in My Mister.
Shooting imminent
Everyone Is Fighting Against Their Own Worthlessness" is scheduled to start shooting next month. With its universal theme and exceptional creative team, this drama is already raising a lot of expectations.
