According to several industry sources, Park Gyu-young will play the female lead in the new drama tentatively titled Grumpy Romancein which she will star opposite Park Hyung-sikalready confirmed several days ago. The project, currently in advanced discussions with Netflix, will feature a romance-office full of tension, verbal jousting and power reversals.
The story follows 2 people linked by an uncomfortable military past: once superiors and subordinates in the army, they now find themselves in an inverted relationship in the corporate world. Their old grudges, still intact, give way to an explosive... and potentially romantic dynamic.

Park Gyu-young will play an employee who, in another life, was the military superior of Park Hyung-sik's character. Now working under the man she once managed, she finds herself immersed in a mixture of unease, inverted authority and unexpected attraction.
For Park Gyu-young, this role could be the opportunity to finally establish her place in rom-com. After outstanding performances in Sweet Home and Squid Game seasons 2 and 3, followed by a few less exposed romantic roles, she could reveal a new facet of her game here.
