Park Eun-bin in talks for villain role in new romantic sageuk

Park Eun-bin could soon be making a comeback in a new historical drama with an intriguing concept. The actress is currently in talks to join “The Palace Is Home to Dog Flowers”an adaptation of a best-selling romantic web novel.

On March 23, her agency Namoo Actors confirmed that she had received an offer for the project, stating that it was one of the dramas she was currently considering.

A dark, central role

Set in a fictional empire called Eun, the story follows a complex romance within the imperial court. At the heart of the story is Hyeon Gae-ri, a concubine of exceptional beauty... but a formidable character.

Known for her violence and intense jealousy, she's nicknamed «Dog Flower», a term that reflects both her dangerousness and her unpredictable temperament.

Park Eun-bin has reportedly been offered the role of this central character, who is positioned as a real antagonist and driving force of the drama.

Opposite her, the Emperor Eon, a man as seductive as he is cold, and a princess destined to become his rival in love, will complete this intrigue marked by tensions and contradictory feelings.

A long-awaited and personal project for the actress

Adapted from a very popular novel by author Yoon Tae-roo, “The Palace Is Home to Dog Flowers” has long been rumored for a drama adaptation. According to some reports, Park Eun-bin is herself a fan of the original work, which makes her possible participation all the more interesting.

If she accepts the role, it would be a significant transformation for the actress, who could embody a character far darker and more complex than her previous roles.
