It's now official: Park Bo-gum, Suzy and Shin Dong-yup will be back together to host the 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards ceremony. This year marks the eighth time the trio have worked together as presenters.
The announcement, made on April 2, once again confirms the event's determination to rely on familiar and popular figures.
A trio emblematic of the Baeksang Awards
Shin Dong-yup, a key figure in Korean entertainment, will host the ceremony for the 12th time. Present at the 50th to 52nd editions, he has returned every year since the 54th. Last year, he won the award for Best Male Entertainer in the TV/Drama category, which he will present himself this year.
For her part, Suzy is now in her 11th consecutive year as host. Since her debut in 2016 at the 52nd ceremony, she has never left her role, becoming over the years one of the most iconic faces of the Baeksang Arts Awards.
Park Bo-gum, a faithful return
Park Bo-gum also continues to establish himself as a pillar of the ceremony. After making his debut as MC at the 54th edition, he was temporarily absent for his military service before making his return at the 58th ceremony.
Appreciated for his positive image and ease as a presenter, he embodies the values of credibility and fairness associated with the event. This year marks his eighth appearance as presenter, bringing him closer to a symbolic milestone.
The 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards ceremony will be held on May 8 at 7:50pm (Korean time).
