The romantic drama " Our Universe »continues to unveil its characters, and it's Park Seo-ham's turn to reveal himself. The actor plays Park Yoon-sung, a man as seductive as he is efficient, whose return to the heroine's life could well upset the story's already precarious balance.
A first love resurfaces
In Our Universe, Park Yoon-sung is the head of the No. 3 planning team at BS Food. Brilliant, charismatic and always at the top of the internal popularity charts, he seems to embody the perfect man. Yet behind this flawless image lies a deep-seated loneliness.
His past resurfaces when he reunites with Woo Hyun-jin, played by Roh Jeong-eui, whom he met at university. At the time, their feelings had never been fully expressed. Now, as colleagues, these buried emotions resurface, complicating Hyun-jin's budding relationship with Sun Tae-hyung (Bae In-hyuk), with whom she now shares her daily life... and the responsibility of raising a child.
Park Seo-ham explains that he was immediately attracted to the project: «When I read the script, the story and the characters seemed endearing. Park Yoon-sung is perfect in appearance, but hides a great loneliness, and it was this contrast that attracted me.» He adds that he had long discussions with the director to find the right balance between the character's outward coldness and his inner gentleness.
Natural chemistry with Roh Jeong-eui and Bae In-hyuk
The actor also spoke of his complicity with his partners. Speaking of Roh Jeong-eui, he confided: «Our teamwork was excellent throughout the shoot. She always brought a positive energy to the set and encouraged me a lot.»
Roh Jeong-eui shares this sentiment, describing their on-screen relationship as natural and fluid, going so far as to compare Park Seo-ham to a real big brother, so obvious was their understanding.
Regarding Bae In-hyuk, Park Seo-ham emphasizes his instinctive sensitivity: «He has a natural sensitivity. Even in difficult scenes, I was grateful for the way he tried to create a real connection with his eyes.»
