MBC has revealed the 2nd poster of " The Judge Returns" his next drama adapted from a web novel about a corrupt judge confronted with his own past. Ji Sung plays Lee Han-young, a magistrate who was once under the thumb of a huge law firm... until the day he goes back ten years, determined to rewrite his destiny.
A judge faced with the ruins of his own justice system
The poster features the remains of a statue of the goddess of justice, now shattered, from which Lee Han-young advances. Dressed in black, wearing sunglasses, with a calm but resolute gait, he crosses a cloud of debris as if he were crossing the boundary between 2 lives: one dominated by corruption, and one in which he intends to make the powerful pay.
This powerful image symbolizes the moment when justice and the past shatter into pieces, while the returning man refuses to back down. The poster's slogan, "Justice broken, the judge returns", heralds a quest in which every choice will weigh heavily.
According to the production team: "This second teaser symbolizes the moment when Lee Han-young advances into the heart of chaos. We hope you'll look forward to discovering this second life full of explosive emotions and conviction."
A quest for justice reinvented
In The Judge ReturnsLee Han-young is given the rare opportunity to go back in time and confront the evils he's never been able to fight, or to which he's finally given in. The drama thus promises to explore the moral dilemmas of a man who has fallen before, but this time chooses to rise again for good.
The Judge Returns will begin airing on January 2, 2026 at 9:40 pm (KST) on MBC (waiting for an OTT).
