SBS has unveiled the very first teaser from « No Tail to Tell«And he immediately lays the groundwork for a fantastical romance that is as funny as it is perilous. At the heart of the story: a Gen Z gumiho determined to remain immortal... and a superstar soccer player who could well turn everything upside down.
A modern gumiho who refuses to become human
In No Tail to Tell, Kim Hye-yoon embodies Eun-ho, a thousand-year-old gumiho who dreams of one thing above all else: living forever without ever becoming human. Facing the camera, she explains her philosophy of life very seriously: «Living as a gumiho means being able to enjoy only the pleasant things in life, without any difficulties.»
Completely satisfied with her current existence, Eun-ho then lists her strict rules for maintaining her supernatural status. Good deeds are forbidden, in case they accidentally make her human. Collecting human livers, though typical in gumiho mythology, is also excluded:«What would I do with a liver anyway?» «I don't kill humans.»
These statements immediately highlight how Eun-ho differs from traditional gumiho, adopting a resolutely modern (and very Gen Z) vision of her identity.
A broken rule... and a romance that threatens his immortality
The teaser then reveals Eun-ho's true secret activity: she grants the wishes of wealthy humans in exchange for money. But among her rules, one is absolutely non-negotiable: «Flirting is strictly prohibited.»
A rule that shatters when it encounters Kang Si-yeol (Lomon), a world-renowned soccer player who is confident and surprisingly thoughtful. When Eun-ho asks him incredulously if he really cares about her, he replies gently: «Don't I have the right to worry about you?»
From that moment on, Eun-ho begins to break her own rule of “no relationships,” putting herself in danger: falling in love could cause her to lose her status as a gumiho. The teaser ends with a symbolic scene where she grabs Si-yeol's hand and asks him to make a wish, a gesture with serious consequences.
No Tail to Tell will be broadcast from January 16, 2026 on Netflix
