The new comedy from TV ChosunNo Next Life, promises a blend of realism, humor and emotion as three 41-year-old women juggle work, parenthood and the search for meaning. Kim Hee-sun, Han Hye-jin and Jin Seo-yeon embody these women in the midst of an existential crisis, seeking to restore meaning to their lives while facing the challenges of midlife.
A couple on the brink of explosion
Kim Hee-sun plays Jo Na-jung, a former high-profile home shopping star who is now a stay-at-home mother of two. She forms a couple with Noh Won-bin, played by Yoon Baka producer for a home shopping channel. Once passionate, they now struggle to understand each other, their relationship withering away into routine.
The new images show a tense scene between the couple. Sitting side by side in their living room, Na-jung tries to reason with her husband, until the usually calm man explodes in anger. The icy silence that follows speaks volumes about the emotional gulf between them.
A series on the crisis of everyday life
Part family drama, part social comedy, No Next Life explores the disillusions, compromises and moments of truth of a generation of women and couples in search of renewal. The drama will be broadcast from November 10 at 10pm (KST) on TV Chosun (no international distributor yet).
