The new SBS drama, No Mercypromises to electrify screens this autumn with a dark and intense plot. At the heart of this series are Lee Joo-young, who plays a woman shattered by a phishing scam... and desperate for justice.
A victim who becomes a predator
Lee Joo-young plays Ha So-min, a young woman who loses her parents to a massive telephone scam. But rather than fall apart, she decides to take revenge. Her weapon? A formidable technology: the deepfake, which she uses to infiltrate the criminal organization responsible for the tragedy from the inside.
A blood-curdling teaser
The recently unveiled trailer immediately sets the tone: dark, tense, implacable. We see Ha So-min walking in the shadows, knife in hand, his gaze burning with determination. His voice resounds like a sentence: "When they get out of prison, we say they've paid their debt. But this isn't punishment... it's forgiveness bought with time." These words hint at a story where the law is no longer enough, and personal vengeance becomes the only way out.
Facing her, Ma Seok-gu (Ji Seung-hyun), ruthless leader of the phishing network, appears in the teaser with a chilling smile, while police cars speed off into the night. The tension mounts, culminating in a striking image: Ha So Min's blood-spattered face, the promise of an uncompromising story.
A thriller to keep an eye on
Between the expected performance of Lee Joo-young, already known for her intense roles, and a staging that heralds constant suspense, No Mercy is already establishing itself as one of the most intriguing Korean thrillers of the season.
The question remains: how far will Ha So-min go to make her enemies pay? First broadcast on September 24 on Wavve (no international broadcaster yet).
