tvN lifts the veil on " Spring Fever" her new spring romance starring Ahn Bo-hyun and Lee Joo-bin, by revealing images from the first script reading. The atmosphere, both warm and friendly, gives a first glimpse of a drama that promises to warm hearts in the middle of winter.
A love story between emotional coldness and unbridled passion
"Spring Fever" tells the story of Yoon Bom, an aloof-looking high school teacher, and Seon Jae-gyu, an impulsive, charismatic man whose arrival upsets the village's tranquility. At the reading, Ahn Bo-hyun immediately stood out for his lively performance, enriched by a Busan accent that brought a tasty local touch to the character. His role as Seon Han-gyeol's uncle adds a dimension to the story that is as unpredictable as it is comic.
Opposite him, Lee Joo-bin plays Yoon Bom with controlled delicacy. A teacher perceived as a stranger by the locals, she conceals a great gentleness beneath a cold façade. From the very first lines, the chemistry between the two actors was obvious, sketching out a romance as sincere as it is full of touching misunderstandings.
A village of intrigue, rivalry and freshness
The secondary cast brings extra energy to the story. Cha Seo-won slips into the role of Choi Yi-joon, an elite lawyer with impeccable good looks. The new generation is represented by Cho Jun-young, who plays Seon Han-gyeol, top of the class, and Lee Jae-in, in the role of Choi Se-jin, eternal second and now his greatest rival - and perhaps even more so.
Around them, the teachers of Shinsu High School, played by Jin Kyung, Bae Jung-nam, Kim Byung-choon, Oh Man-seok and Jung Young-ki, bring humor and texture to village life. The exchanges between teachers and students promise to be as tasty as the love stories.
After the reading, Ahn Bo-hyun shared his enthusiasm: "The characters have visuals we've never seen before, and the script is really fun. Playing an uncle for the first time and using dialect really appealed to me. I think viewers will be able to laugh while watching this drama."
Lee Joo-bin, for his part, emphasized "the beautiful scenery, refreshing village atmosphere and subtle humor", adding that the series also has surprises in store, with hidden characters to spice up the story.
Spring Fever goes on air on January 5, 2026 at 8:50 pm (KST) on tvN (awaiting international broadcaster).
