The series follows prosecutor Bang Tae-seob (Ju Ji-hoon), ready to plunge into the heart of a cartel of influence to climb the ladder of power in South Korea. A woman acting in the shadows

Hwang Jung-won doesn't try to take center stage. She prefers to circulate on the periphery of power, observing, analyzing and intervening at key moments. Seemingly detached, she is quicker than most to understand the direction events are taking.

Rather than expose her emotions, she carefully chooses her alliances and decides precisely when to keep her distance, building her own survival strategy.

A duality captured in the first images

The first photos unveiled underline this dual facet. In one of them, Hwang Jung-won reads documents with a calm but sharp gaze, revealing a mind that favors judgment over emotion.

In another image, she appears at night on a busy street, telephone in hand and cap pulled down. In the midst of the familiar urban setting, she seems to be the one silently orchestrating the game.

“Climax” will be broadcast from March 16 at 10pm (KST) and available on Viki.
