KBS has just announced the broadcast date of its new drama Dear Bandit (working title), a historical romance full of adventure, humor and magic. The series, starring Nam Ji-hyun and Moon Sang-minpromises a captivating journey through the intertwined destinies of a kind-hearted thief and a Joseon prince.
A vigilante thief and an inquisitive prince linked by destiny
In Dear Bandit, Nam Ji-hyun embodies Hong Eun-jonicknamed "Hong Gil-dong" after the famous people's hero. The daughter of a nobleman and a slave, she devotes her life to helping the poor and the sick, until one day she accidentally becomes a vigilante thief who robs the rich to help the destitute. Living in hiding and pursued by rumors, she sees her life turned upside down when her soul is exchanged with that of the prince who has been stalking her.
This prince, Yi Yeol (Moon Sang-min), is just the opposite: charismatic, seductive, a lover of adventure and mystery. Passionate about criminal investigations, he spends his time at the capital's police station solving cases, until an unexpected encounter with a "suspicious" woman plunges him into a totally unpredictable... and magical situation.
The first images unveiled show the 2 protagonists under a shower of flower petals, their gazes filled with sparkle and curiosity, heralding a romance full of energy and twists and turns.
Dear Bandit will be broadcast from January 3, 2026 at 9:20 pm (KST) on KBS2 (awaiting international distribution).
