KBS2's new drama " To My Beloved Thief "is already starting to set fans' hearts racing ahead of its release. A first official poster has just been unveiled, revealing a romantic and mysterious atmosphere between its two heroes, played by Nam Ji-hyun and Moon Sang-minThe two of them come together in a nocturnal face-off under the light of the moon.
The story plunges us into the life of Hong Eun-jo, an ordinary young woman drawn unwillingly into a double existence. From ordinary citizen, she becomes a masked thief known as Gil Dong, stealing not out of greed but to save starving locals. Her life truly turns upside down the day she crosses paths with Prince Yi Yeol, a member of the Joseon royal family... who will find himself exchanging his soul with hers.
A fair-hearted thief confronts a troubled prince
On the recently released poster, Hong Eun-jo appears dressed in black, ready to disappear into the shadows as usual. With a bow on her shoulder, she climbs onto a roof... and comes face to face with the man who is supposed to stop her: Prince Yi Yeol. Surprise is visible on her face, while the prince's gaze conveys an unexpected, almost gentle curiosity about the woman he's stalking.
His hand reaching out to her creates a silent tension: is he trying to stop her... or to understand her? This frozen scene already seems to foretell that their relationship will not be that of a simple pursuit between a policeman and a criminal.
A promise under the stars
One detail on the poster is particularly intriguing for fans: the phrase written between the two characters, "I want to go with you, whatever the end"hints at a deeper relationship than it appears. Instead of opposing each other, the two heroes seem bound by a destiny they have not chosen, but which they will have to face together.
Souls exchanged, identities shattered, danger ever-present... To My Beloved Thief promises an intense romance set against a backdrop of palatial intrigue and social injustice. Between the chase, budding feelings and the struggle for the people, the drama promises to be an explosive mix of action and emotion.
The drama will begin airing January 3, 2026 at 9:20pm (KST) on KBS2 (awaiting international distribution).
