Channel A is about to unveil one of its new summer nuggets: My Lovely Journeya series full of sweetness and promise, bringing together Gong Seung-yeon, Kim Jae-young, Yoo Joon-sang and Hong Soo-hyun in a universe as warm as it is unexpected.
Adapted from the best-selling Japanese novel by Maha Harada, My Lovely Journey tells the story of Kang Yeo Reuma former idol turned travel reporter. Almost unnoticed in her life as an artist, she now travels the world to discover, through the stories of others, what success and personal fulfillment really mean.
At the heart of this journey, she evolves within the small agency Ogu Entertainmenta modest company, but as close-knit as a family. At its head, Oh Sang-sik (Yoo Joon-sang) plays the role of a loyal, dreamy CEO, ready to do anything to keep this small structure on its feet despite the difficult years. By his side, Yoo Ha-na (Hong Soo-hyun), financial director, watches over the accounts as she does her colleagues, and has been loyal to them since the agency was founded. Last but not least, Hyun Ba-ram (Oh Hyun-joong), multitasking right-hand man, switches from planning to driving the company car, while changing his hairstyle according to his mood.
But the real heart of the series is the budding complicity between Yeo Reum and Lee Yeon Seok (Kim Jae Young). An engineer who graduated from a top university, Yeon Seok left everything behind to realize his dream of becoming a film director. Today, he works as an editor for Yeo Reum's travel show. In a recently unveiled poster, we discover the two characters seated back to back, in a verdant setting that hints at a gentle romance, made up of discreet glances and gestures, far removed from the usual tormented dramas.
With a cast in which each character promises to reveal a touching facet of himself, My Lovely Journey promises to be an ode to comfort, mutual aid and personal fulfillment.
