Actress Moon So-ri could soon be starring in Ji Sung in Apartmentthe next JTBC drama directed by Jo Yong-won (Sketch) and written by Kim Yoon-young (My Strange Hero, Sweet Palpitations). According to several Korean media outlets, she has been offered the role of Jang Sook-jina talkative, know-it-all resident of her building, a role that promises a touch of humor and humanity.
A dramatic comedy about a former gangster who becomes a hero in spite of himself
Apartment will tell the story of a former gangster, Hae-gang (a proposal made to Ji Sung), who runs for president of a building's residents' council with the aim of making money. But when he discovers the corruption that plagues the building, he ends up becoming a neighborhood hero. The actress Ha Yoon-kyung and singer-actor Baek Hyun-jin are also in talks to join the cast.
If Moon So-ri accepts the role, this project will mark her return to the small screen following the success of the Netflix series When Life Gives You Tangerines, in which she co-starred with IU, Park Bo-gum and Park Hae-joon. She played the adult version of the main character Oh Ae-soon, a role hailed for its accuracy and emotional depth.
The filming and broadcast of Apartment are still under discussion, but the meeting of Ji Sung and Moon So-ri under the JTBC banner is already attracting attention.
