MBC has unveiled the first teaser posters for its upcoming historical fantasy drama Moon RiverAnd they've aroused the curiosity of fans, to say the least. At the heart of this drama, scheduled for October 31, we find Kang Tae-oh (Extraordinary Attorney Woo) and Kim Se-jeong (Business Proposal) in an unexpected... and visibly stunning duo.
A prince without a smile, a merchant without memories... and a soul exchanged
The plot of Moon River is based on an intriguing concept: a crown prince who has lost his smile sees his soul exchanged with that of an amnesiac merchant, leading to a series of chaotic situations that are, we imagine, both funny and touching. Through this pitch mixing fantasy, comedy and romance in costume, MBC promises an original and visually captivating drama.

Posters full of humor and symbolism
The recently unveiled posters give a first glimpse of the drama's tone. On one, Lee Kang (played by Kang Tae-oh), with a scowl on his face, literally holds Park Dal-yi (played by Kim Se-jeong) in her hand, like a paper doll. In another poster, the situation is reversed: Park Dal-yidressed as a prince, flashes a mischievous smile as she in turn holds Lee Kang in her palms.

A third particularly original poster shows the prince perched on the paeraengi (traditional hat) of Dal Yi, above an ink-painted landscape. The subtle details (Dal Yi's sparkling eyes, Lee Kang's distraught look clutching a cotton ornament) already set the tone for a drama at once. funny, poetic and offbeat.

The visual complicity between the 2 actors in these posters raises expectations about their performance. Kim Se-jeong, known for her sparkling energy, and Kang Tae-oh, eagerly awaiting his return from military service, seem to perfectly embody this comedy of opposites.
What we know (and expect)
Moon River is scheduled for broadcast from october 31 on MBC. As yet, no announcement has been made about a broadcast on an international OTT platform, but fans abroad are keeping their fingers crossed.
