"Mary Kills People": the remake starring Lee Bo-young and Lee Min-ki unveils its 1st teaser and release date

On August 1, 2025, MBC will broadcast its long-awaited remake of Mary Kills Peoplea Canadian series that captivated viewers with its reflection on morality and human suffering. This new Korean version promises to be just as intriguing and emotional, offering a mix of suspense and complex dilemmas.

In this drama, Lee Bo-young plays Woo So-jung, a respected doctor by day, who leads a double life by night. In secret, she helps incurable patients put an end to their suffering. A life full of contradictions that raises many ethical questions. By his side, Lee Min-ki plays Jo Hyun-woo, a terminal cancer patient, whose story is woven around her life-changing interaction with the doctor.

Suspense, dilemmas and strong emotions

The just-released teaser features a poignant scene: Woo So-jung, seen as a savior by some and a murderer by others, talks about the end of life of her patients. "It ends in an instant", she says, a line that perfectly sums up the series' intense and disturbing tone.

Under the direction of Park Jun-wooknown for his work on Taxi Driver, and with screenwriter Lee Su-a at the pen, Mary Kills People promises to touch viewers' hearts with a poignant exploration of life, death and impossible choices.
