The Disney+ original series “Made in Korea”is turning up the heat with the revelation of the first images from season 2. After a first season marked by strong political and personal stakes, the sequel promises to push the rivalries even further.
As a reminder, Season 1 followed Baek Ki-tae, played by Hyun Bin, a man obsessed with power and wealth, and prosecutor Jang Geon-young, played by Jung Woo-sung, ready to sacrifice everything to stop him, against the backdrop of the 1970s upheavals.
A war for power reignited nine years later
This new season takes place 9 years after the previous events. Baek Ki-tae is now at the height of his influence, displaying a cool, controlled assurance. Opposite him, Jang Geon-young returns with a more composed attitude, determined to launch a new offensive after preparing his revenge.

But the already fragile balance is upset by the arrival of Baek Ki-hyun, played by Woo Do-hwan. Baek Ki-tae's younger brother, he pursues his own quest for power, different from that of his elder brother, and quickly establishes himself as a key player in this game of influence.

The images reveal a heavy, tense atmosphere. Baek Ki-tae appears colder and more calculating than ever, while Jang Geon-young seems to have gained in mastery, ready for a new confrontation. For his part, Baek Ki-hyun draws attention with his determined gaze, leaving doubt as to his intentions.

One of the most striking moments shows the 2 brothers face to face, in a silent but tension-filled confrontation that foreshadows the conflicts to come.
The series is scheduled for release in the second half of 2026 on Disney+. We already know that many of you are looking forward to seeing these characters again! Season 2 will also have 6 episodes.
