U+tv has unveiled a new teaser for its upcoming drama « Love Phobia« offering a first glimpse of an atypical romance where logic meets emotion head-on. Carried by Yeonwoo and Kim Hyun-jin, promises a piquant, modern exploration of love in the age of artificial intelligence.
When love becomes an inefficient equation
The teaser opens with a blunt statement from Yoon Bi-ah, the cool, methodical CEO of an AI-based dating app called It's You. In front of an attentive audience, she asserts, «People have realized that love between humans is extremely exhausting and ineffective.» A sentence that perfectly sums up her vision of relationships.
Bi Ah shuns unnecessary proximity and instantly erects barriers when anyone tries to approach her. «Why should we eat together without any clear intention or objective? It's a waste of time,» she blurts out. Her distant, almost mechanical attitude intrigues as much as it questions the reasons for this visceral rejection of human attachment.
An encounter that shatters all certainties
Yoon Bi Ah's perfectly controlled life begins to unravel when she meets Han Sun Ho, a successful romance novelist played by Kim Hyun-jin. Sensitive, emotionally attuned and the complete opposite of her, he becomes an unexpected disturbance in her rational world.
During a tense exchange, Bi Ah ironically challenges him: «Maybe people who have already broken up like you need it, an eternal love with no expiration date.» But the teaser takes an even more surprising turn during a negotiation scene in which Bi Ah faces Han Sun-ho, Seol Jae-hee (Jo Yun-seo) and Han Baek-ho (Choi Byung-chan). Against all odds, she says, «Sell me Han Sun Ho.»
