The upcoming drama « Love Phobia »has just unveiled its very first teaser, offering an intriguing glimpse of a romance where initial hostility gradually gives way to far more complex emotions. Produced by U+tv, the series promises to be a blend of contemporary romance and modern questioning of love in the age of artificial intelligence.
A cold CEO facing an emotionally driven writer
Yeonwoo plays the role of Yoon Bi-ah, charismatic CEO of an AI-based dating app, It's You. The teaser opens with her determined gaze, symbolizing a confident character perfectly at ease in a world she controls. But very soon, images from the past crack this facade: a teenager running aimlessly, painful memories, and a phrase that carries great meaning («Even something false can be necessary to someone»), suggesting a founding event that remains unexplained.
Facing her, Kim Hyun-jin plays Han Sun-ho, a romance novelist who is the emotional opposite of Bi-ah. Their first confrontation is electric: Sun-ho attacks the application she runs head-on, calling it «the worst counterfeit among counterfeits». This statement sets the tone for a tense, almost brutal power struggle.
When hostility turns into unexpected trouble
Yet it doesn't take long for this animosity to crack. In a surprising scene, Bi-ah casually embraces Sun-ho and refers to him as «her prey», leaving the writer totally unsettled. Gradually, the images hint at a subtle change: Sun-ho taking Bi-ah's trembling hands, their lingering gazes, and that revealing voiceover («Maybe I can stake my fate on this man») marking the first chink in the young woman's emotional armor.
The drama will air from February 19 at 11pm (KST) on U+tv (awaiting an OTT)
