Just a few days before the launch of Love Me "on Viki, Lee Si-woo and Dahyun of TWICE shared their impressions of this intimate drama adapted from the Swedish series of the same name. JTBC offers a story about a flawed but deeply human family, where everyone embarks on their own emotional journey, between love, maturity and self-recovery.

A romance that explores the blurred line between friendship and love

In Love Me, Lee Si-woo embodies Seo Jun-seoa master's student who naively dreams of a great love affair while searching for the recognition he hasn't yet achieved. By his side, Dahyun interpreter Ji Hye-ona publishing house editor with ambitions to become a novelist, patiently working towards her goal.

The two characters have known each other since kindergarten. Their bond, solid and natural, slowly evolves into something more disturbing: those discreet but deep emotions that arise when friendship begins to be tinged with feeling.

About Jun-seo, Lee Si-woo explains: "He's imperfect, but that's what makes him more endearing. You want to hug him, and sometimes scold him."

He adds that he wanted to transcribe " the moments of immaturity and wandering that everyone goes through one day ", while revealing that the director had asked him, "Above all, don't be stylish."
He applied these instructions, taking on more of his rough edges and awkwardness.

For her part, Dahyun describes Hye-on as a responsible young woman who steadfastly pursues her dream: "I admired her determination at such a young age. I love to read too, so I've often wondered what it would be like to become a writer."

She even confides that she felt happy watching her character progress: "It was as if she was realizing this dream for me."

A chemistry born of their meeting off-camera

The two actors recount how they quickly developed a natural bond. Lee Si-woo recalls, "From the very first day, we saw each other as real friends and immediately started being on first-name terms."

Dahyun adds, "Afterwards, we easily discussed which scenes to work on. We even rehearsed our dialogues while we did our hair and make-up."

This connection is reflected in the evolution of their romance. Lee Si-woo explains that Jun-seo matures through Hye-on: "With her waiting and believing in him, he learns a love where you can be yourself."

Dahyun sums up the essence of this bond: "Hye-on's love is about honestly addressing what hurts her, and staying close to the other person in spite of it."

Love Me will start on December 19 on Vikiwith two episodes broadcast consecutively each week.
