tvN has unveiled new images of Lim Ji-yeon in his next drama Nice To Not Meet Youa romantic comedy that promises as much laughter as emotion.
The series will tell the story of love-hate between Im Hyun-joon (performed by Lee Jung-jae), a major player disconnected from its roots, and Wi Jung-shin (played by Lim Ji-yeon), a political journalist with a passion for justice, demoted to the culture department after a corruption scandal.
Lim Ji-yeon lends her features to Wi Jung-shinonce a star of political journalism and the youngest winner of a prestigious press award. But when her career collapses due to a major scandal, she is abruptly transferred to the entertainment section, where awkwardness and funny situations await her.
The new images show Wi Jung-shin full of determination, true to her reputation as a political ace, then totally lost in her new position, foreshadowing a high-energy survival comedy. A former elite journalist, she finds herself at the heart of a scandal that costs her her career and leads to an unexpected encounter with the famous actor... Im Hyun-joon.
The actress confided: "After several serious and intense projects, I wanted something lighter. When I found out about Nice To Not Meet You, I thought, 'If not now, when will I get the chance to play a character going through such a storm?'"
Commenting on her role, she adds: "Jung-shin is a determined woman, who fearlessly steps forward to defend her convictions. But her nature confronts her with the harshness of the world, and through this struggle, she grows as much as a journalist as a human being."
Nice To Not Meet You will be broadcast from November 3, 8:30 p.m. (KST) on tvN.
