The new drama Dear Xsigned TVING, has just revealed new images of Lee Yul-eum in her role! Inspired by a successful webtoon, the series stars Kim Yoo-jung as Baek Ah-jin, an A-list actress willing to do anything to achieve fame, even if it means trampling on others in her path. Behind her perfect face, she hides a ruthless, calculating nature.
An electric rivalry in the spotlight
Lee Yul-eum plays Rena, a former idol turned actress, with her icy charisma and striking beauty. Unlike Baek Ah-jin, she has always been authentic in the public eye... at least in appearance. Her empty stares and silent presence betray a profound solitude.
But everything changes when Baek Ah-jin resurfaces, directly threatening his place at the top. Between ambition, jealousy and inner wounds, Dear X promises a psychological confrontation between two women ready to do anything to exist in the spotlight.
Lee Yul-eum shared her enthusiasm: "I really liked the original webtoon, and was delighted to be able to work with directors Lee Eung-bok and Park So-hyun. The character of Rena seemed to me to offer a different charm from the original version."
She adds: "Rena looks strong on the outside, but she's a woman who has worked tirelessly to succeed. She also gives her all in love, even if she is sometimes clumsy. Her sincerity in everything she does, despite her flaws, is part of her unexpected charm."
