MBC has unveiled its next drama To The Moonoffering a first glimpse of Lee Sun-bin in a role that promises to move.
Adapted from a novel of the same name, this series will highlight the lives of 3 middle-class women, who struggle to make ends meet on their salaries and end up turning to the risky but hopeful world of the cryptocurrencies. Alongside Lee Sun-binthe cast includes Ra Mi-ran, Jo Aram and Kim Young-daeeach portraying characters confronted with the unforgiving realities of everyday life.

A poignant role for Lee Sun-bin
In To The Moon, Lee Sun-bin lends his features to Jung Da-haeis an atypical employee of Maron Confectionery. Unlike most of her colleagues, she was not recruited via the prestigious channels and has to cope with a derisory salary, constant professional instability and sometimes discriminatory treatment.
For Da Hae, life at the office is far from fulfilling: his only driving force remains the need to earn money. However, his meeting with Eun Sang (Ra Mi-ran), a colleague who inspires him with the idea of investing in cryptocurrencies, opens the door to a new form of hope.

The first images released by MBC give a glimpse of the character's complexity.
- We first see her in a strict suit, sitting in an interview room, determined to make her mark in a company that doesn't seem to be doing her any favors.
- Another photo shows her crammed into a crowded bus, her face scarred by fatigue and the invisible struggles of everyday life.
- Finally, a last shot reveals her worried look, testimony to the permanent pressure she undergoes in her life as an employee.

An appointment not to be missed
With its realistic approach and topical theme (between job insecurity and the lure of digital investment), To The Moon promises to be a drama as moving as it is powerful.
See you on September 19 at 9:50pm (KST) on MBC (awaiting an international broadcaster) to discover this new tale of modern survival, where Lee Sun-bin and his acting partners are expected to deliver intense performances.
