The world of K-dramas will soon be enriched by a captivating new series: Honora mysterious legal thriller which promises as much tension as emotion. The main cast, comprising Lee Na -young, Jung Eun-chae and Lee Chung-ah, has been officially confirmed, already arousing the curiosity of viewers.
3 friends, 3 lawyers, a 20-year secret
Based on a Swedish series of the same name, Honor tells the story of 3 women lawyers who have been friends since their university days. 20 years later, they are working together at the law firm L&J (Listen and Join), specialized in defending victims of crimes committed against women.
Their daily lives are turned upside down when a scandal buried for two decades resurfaces, threatening to destroy their careers and private lives. Together, they will have to face up to their past, with solidarity, resilience and determination.
Complex, powerful characters
Lee Na-young embodies Yoon Ra-younga star lawyer with hundreds of thousands of online fans. Elegant and charismatic, she is the public face of L&J, but behind her glamorous image lie wounds that have never healed. Jung Eun-chae will be Kang Shin-jaethe head of L&J. Charismatic and formidable, she wields both persuasion and intimidation. But when a case she's working on turns out to be linked to her own past, her confidence falters.
Lee Chung-ah play Hwang Hyun-jinthe energetic, combative lawyer of the trio. Always on the move, she can't stand injustice and acts with passion, sometimes at the risk of breaking herself. Her convictions are put to the test when her husband, a police officer, begins investigating her secrets.
The production team has made it clear that Honor will be about more than just trials and courtroom intrigue: "Beyond a courtroom drama, we want to deliver a strong, impactful story about women lawyers facing cases intimately linked to their past. We'll be pulling out all the stops to deliver an immersion and intensity that will captivate viewers right up to the last episode."
