Lee Junho is back on the small screen, and this time he's taking on a role that could well mark a new stage in his career. In tvN's next drama, Typhoon family, scheduled for release in October, the actor plays Kang Tae-pung, a figure of Korean youth plunged into the heart of the 1997 crisis.

A trip back to the '90s
Typhoon family tells the story of a young man propelled to the head of a trading company... with no employees, no capital, not even products to sell. Against a backdrop of one of the darkest economic periods in Korea's history, Kang Tae-pung tries to survive and make his way. Through this struggle, the series aims to offer a message of hope and courage to all those facing difficult times today.
Lee Junho, the icon of a generation
Known for his outstanding roles in The Red Sleeve and King the LandLee Junho has now established himself as a key player. In Typhoon family, he transforms himself into the "orange youth" who ruled the streets of Apgujeong in the late 90s. The first images unveiled show a colorful style, with retro hairstyles and flamboyant looks that should revive the nostalgia of an entire generation.
But the character's charm doesn't stop at his looks. Behind this carefree side lies a burning ambition: to realize his dreams and become an entrepreneur, even in the midst of turmoil. Kang Tae-pung is not only a seducer who makes hearts tumble, he's also a young man who refuses to give up, despite the harshness of the world around him.

According to the production team, Lee Junho won't just be recreating a "cool" image of the 90s. He will bring to life all the fervor of a youth confronted with an unforgiving era, and who despite everything, chooses to remain standing. This blend of lightness, passion and resilience could well give birth to a new iconic character in the actor's career.
