With just a few weeks to go before its launch, the drama Typhoon Family lifts a corner of the veil with new images featuring Lee Junho and Kim Min-seok. The series promises a nostalgic yet intense journey to the heart of one of modern Korea's most defining periods: the 1997 MFI crisis.

The Ap-street Boys, kings of Apgujeong before the storm

The story follows Kang Tae-poong (played by Lee Junho), a carefree young man whose destiny is turned upside down when he becomes, almost against his will, the manager of a ruined company, deprived of resources and landmarks as the country sinks into economic turmoil. But before facing this brutal reality, Tae Poong still enjoys the freedom and excitement of youth with his friends, nicknamed the "Ap-street Boysa nod to the trendy Apgujeong of the time.

At the center of this group, Tae Poong shines with his charisma and sense of style, while his best friend Wang Nam-mo (Kim Min-seok) brings lightness and loyalty. The images unveiled show their complicity: a duo sometimes mocking and playful, sometimes as close as brothers, capturing the energy of a carefree youth unaware that the future is about to be turned upside down.

The production promises a series capable of mixing laughter and deep emotion, thanks in particular to the chemistry between the 2 main characters. The contrast between the lightness of the early years and the weight of the responsibilities to come should offer viewers a resonant immersion in the late 90s.
