tvN has just released new images of the highly anticipated drama Nice To Not Meet Yousupported by Lee Jung-jaein a role that promises a blend of humor, emotion and charm.
The series will tell the story of the spicy relationship between Im Hyun-joon (played by Lee Jung-jae), an A-list actor adored by the public but disconnected from his origins, and Wi Jung-shin (Lim Ji-yeon), a political journalist renowned for her sense of justice, demoted to the entertainment column. Between them, a war of ego and attraction is brewing.
An actor at the top... in search of renewal
The new photos reveal a brilliant Lee Jung-jae as Im Hyun-joon, a national star famous for his role as a detective in the film series Good Detective Kang Pil-gu. Intense action scenes, a captivating gaze and an inhabited interpretation have made this character a hero adored throughout the country, earning the actor a flurry of trophies.
But behind the smiles on the red carpets and the public acclaim, lies a man plagued by self-doubt. Tired of being locked into the image of the "perfect detective", Hyun-joon dreams of proving that he can also embody romance with equal strength and sincerity.
According to the production team, audiences will discover "a Lee Jung-jae capable of moving from drama to comedy with disconcerting naturalness, combining intensity, humor and seduction".
Nice To Not Meet You will be broadcast from November 3, 2025 at 8:30 pm (KST) on tvN (waiting for an international broadcaster, but Prime Video abroad is starting to announce it), a romantic comedy that's already shaping up to be one of the highlights of the autumn season.
