tvN continues to prepare for the new season with Nice To Not Meet You, a romantic comedy that promises as many laughs as confrontations. The series, scheduled for release on November 3, has just unveiled teasers focusing on its two main characters.
An actor trapped by his image
Lee Jung-jae plays Im Hyun-joon, a star adored for his iconic role as Kang Pil-gu in the detective series Good Detective.. But behind the success lurks a profound weariness: the actor dreams of freeing himself from a character that has locked him in for seven years. In the teaser, in the pouring rain, he lets his frustration show as he declares: "Kill me in the first episode! A statement that illustrates his desire to turn the page and regain his artistic freedom.
A journalist thrown into a world she despises
On his side, Lim Ji-yeon takes on the role of Wi Jung-shin, a political journalist renowned for her tenacity and keen sense of justice. But her career takes an unexpected turn when she is suddenly transferred to the entertainment department. Unsettled, she discovers a world she knows nothing about, unable even to recognize a K-pop star or the title of a fashionable drama. Her first steps in this chaotic section lead her to meet Im Hyun-joon in unlikely circumstances, until a memorable shock... both literally and figuratively, during an accidental head-butt in hospital.
