The actors Lee Jun-hyuk and Kang Han-na make a special appearance in the next drama The Remarried Empress. On November 12, several media outlets reported that the 2 stars would play a married couple, Wharton III and Kristain this eagerly-awaited adaptation of the best-selling web novel of the same name.

A royal couple at the heart of the western kingdom
Lee Jun-hyuk's agency, ACE FACTORYconfirmed the news: "Lee Jun-hyuk will be making a special appearance in The Remarried Empress on Disney+. He will play the role of Wharton III."
For its part, Kang Han-na's agency, Beyond Jalso confirmed his participation: "It's true that Kang Han-na will be appearing in The Remarried Empress on Disney+."
The drama The Remarried Empress tells the story of Navierthe perfect empress of the Eastern Empire, betrayed by her husband Sovieshuthe emperor. After her divorce, she decides to marry Heinrey, the prince of the Western Empire. In this plot, Wharton III (played by Lee Jun-hyuk) is the former king and elder brother of Heinrey (played by Lee Jong-suk), while Krista (Kang Han-na) is the empress of the Western Kingdom and wife of Wharton III. She is also Heinrey's childhood friend and first love, but her marriage to Wharton III is the result of a political alliance.
Reunion expected after Designated Survivor: 60 Days
The two actors previously co-starred in tvN drama Designated Survivor: 60 Days in 2019. Their return to the screen together, 6 years later, is arousing great curiosity among fans.
The Remarried Empress will be broadcast in 2026 on Disney+.
