Netflix unveils new stills from « Cashero«, offering a broader view of the clash between improvised superheroes and power-hungry antagonists. Adapted from a popular webtoon, the series follows Kang Sang-ung (Lee Jun-ho), an ordinary government employee whose strength increases in proportion to the amount of cash he has, to the point where he empties his wallet to save the world.

An everyday hero caught between feats and realities
Among the images unveiled, Sang-ung appears lifting a car with all his strength, revealing his superhuman power despite his ordinary appearance. Other scenes show him struggling, walking through flames, or carrying bags of rice in a state of advanced exhaustion, illustrating the constant contrast between his heroic deeds and his daily hardships.

His girlfriend Min Suk (Kim Hye-joon) is the first to understand the origin of his powers, which grow stronger as he holds money. Concerned about protecting his wallet (and his safety), she puts pragmatic plans in place to manage this absurd situation. The couple's worried expressions as they ponder the best way to deal with the dangers hint at a relationship based on solidarity and ingenuity.

Unlikely allies and determined enemies
The images also introduce Byeon Ho-in (Kim Byung-chul) and Bang Eun-mi (Kim Hyang-gi), self-proclaimed members of the Korean Association of People with Powers. Loyal allies of Sang-ung, they display dynamic chemistry, between risky operations in crowded places and tense confrontations.

Opposing them is the Association of Criminals, an organization that hunts down superhumans to steal their abilities. Jonathan (Lee Chae-min), the youngest and most arrogant son of the group, is shown confronting Sang-ung directly, foreshadowing a duel that is as psychological as it is physical.
At his side, Joanna (Kang Han-na), the eldest daughter and presumed successor, appears surrounded by bodyguards, displaying unshakeable confidence and announcing unpredictable maneuvers that could upset the balance of power.

Cashero will be available starting on December 26 on Netflix.
