An ambitious new project could soon reunite Lee Jun-ho and Ju Ji-hoon. The actor and 2PM member is currently in talks to join the drama “Buy King”a series centered on a violent war of succession within a Korean chaebol family.
On March 23, Korean media reported that Lee Jun-ho had received and accepted the offer. His agency, O3 Collective, qualified the information, however, stating that it was still examining the proposal positively.

A war of succession within a chaebol family
“Buy King” is set in the ruthless world of a major Korean conglomerate. The drama will tell the story of the ruptures, alliances and internal clashes of a powerful family engaged in an inheritance battle involving tens of billions of won.
Lee Jun-ho has reportedly been offered the role of Han Ji-yeol, 3rd generation heir, corporate risk analysis specialist and cold-tempered strategist. His confrontation with Han Tae-joon, his uncle and main adversary, is expected to be a major plot point.
Ju Ji-hoon is in talks to play Han Tae-joon, a man described as totally ruthless in his quest for success and power. If the 2 actors confirm their participation, “Buy King” will mark their first on-screen collaboration.
An ambitious project already eagerly awaited
With this role, Lee Jun-ho could return to a more tense and political register, after a string of high-profile projects. The actor has recently attracted attention with “The Red Sleeve”, “King the Land”, “Typhoon Family” and “Cashero”, further reinforcing his image as an actor capable of carrying very different productions.
According to reports in the Korean press, “Buy King” will be directed by Jo Sung-hee, best known for “A Werewolf Boy” and “Space Sweepers”, from a screenplay by Lee Shin-ho. Production will be handled by Mister Romance, with first shooting scheduled for April. Broadcasting is currently under discussion with a global OTT platform.
No definitive confirmation has yet been announced, but the project is already generating a lot of interest, not least because of the potential face-off between Lee Jun-ho and Ju Ji-hoon.
