The drama “Reborn Rookie”unveils its very first glimpse of Lee Joon-young in his role, announcing an original story mixing sport and business.
The series follows the unexpected destiny of a young soccer player whose life is turned upside down after an extraordinary event (spoiler: a soul swap), propelling him into a situation he never imagined.
A life turned upside down by an exchange of souls
In the drama, Lee Joon-young plays Hwang Jun-hyun, a promising talent whose whole life revolves around soccer. From an early age, he has been fully committed to his career, dreaming of playing internationally, especially in the Premier League.

Recognized for his potential and supported by his grandmother, he seemed destined for a bright future on the pitch. But everything changes abruptly after an unexpected accident.

The soul of Kang Yong-ho, a powerful conglomerate executive played by Son Hyun-joo, takes possession of his body. This upheaval puts an end to his sporting career as he had imagined it, and forces him to start a new life... as a junior employee in the company run by this man.

The images unveiled illustrate this striking contrast. On the one hand, Hwang Jun-hyun appears blossoming on the pitch, proud to wear his jersey and shine as a key player. On the other, he seems lost in a totally foreign environment, sitting in an office and observing the corporate world with incomprehension.

This blend of an athlete's physical abilities and a business leader's strategic mind suggests an intriguing evolution of the character.
The drama will air from May 30 at 10:40 pm (Korean time) on JTBC, pending a platform for international broadcast.
