An original project is being prepared around Lee Jong-suk and Lee Jun-hyuk. The 2 actors have been confirmed to play the heroes of 2 separate dramas... set in the same fictional universe.
Agency ACE FACTORY announced, «Lee Jong Suk will star in «Iseop's Romance,» and Lee Jun Hyuk will be the title character in «A Casual Lie.»»
The 2 series are adapted from popular web novels written by Kim Eon-hee. Although each story follows different protagonists, they share the same narrative framework, which means that their TV adaptations will also be connected.
Two heirs, two love stories
Iseop's Romance will feature Tae I-seop, 3rd generation heir to a chaebol, brilliant in everything... except love. He crosses paths with Kang Min-kyeong, a strategic talent in the TK group, sparking a romance that combines feelings and professional stakes.
On his side, A Casual Lie will follow Tae Jun-seop, grandson of the chairman of the TK Group, who is caught up in the succession race. His life is turned upside down when he meets Yeon Woo-kyung, a copywriter who suddenly enters his daily life.
A shared universe and a family bond
One detail directly links the 2 plots: Tae I-seop and Tae Jun-seop are cousins. The stories should therefore intersect through the TK group and the tensions linked to the family succession.
The 2 projects, currently in preparation, should be produced simultaneously to maintain the coherence of this shared universe. Shooting is scheduled for later this year.
With this novel concept, viewers could discover a double romance rooted in the same dynamics of power and family.
