One summer, two brothers, one secret

Last Summer tells the story of Baek Do-ha, a talented architect based in the United States, who returns to Korea every summer to spend 21 days in a semi-detached house built by his father. It's in this place steeped in memories that he reunites with his twin brother, Baek Do-young, who stayed behind after their parents' divorce. With them, a 3rd presence marks each summer: Song Ha-kyung, the daughter of the father's best friend, with whom they form a trio as close-knit as they are inseparable.

But a tragedy that occurred 2 years earlier disrupts this dynamic forever. Behind the summer reunion lies a troubled past, latent tension, and a truth locked in an emotional "Pandora's box".

Lee Jae-wook in an unexpected double role

In this drama, Lee Jae-wook takes on an unprecedented challenge, playing both Baek Do-ha and Baek Do-young. Two twin brothers, 2 distinct personalities, two opposing trajectories. This double role promises to reveal a new facet of the actor, accustomed to complex, nuanced characters.

Opposite him, Choi Sung-eun plays Song Ha-kyung, today a government architect, and still a resident of Patanmyeon. As a child, she spent her summers teasing Do Ha. As an adult, she struggles with buried feelings and a new anger when she discovers what really happened between the two brothers.

Between romance, regret and architectural aesthetics

Last Summer isn't just about nostalgic romance. The series also explores the theme of architecturerarely featured in Korean dramas. Through the eyes of its characters, it questions the links between places, memories and emotions. The production promises episodes rich in atmosphere, confidences and tension.

Producers are already calling on viewers to support this visually stunning and poignant work. With a solid cast and a plot centered on the wounds of the past, Last Summer could well become one of the must-haves of late 2025.
