The new romantic drama from KBS2, Last Summerpromises to be a love story full of nostalgia and past wounds. The recently unveiled teaser highlights the complex relationship between Lee Jae-wook and Choi Sung-eun2 souls linked by a shared childhood and a secret buried fifteen years ago.

Between love and resentment, a summer not to be forgotten

Baek Do-ha (Lee Jae-wook) and Song Ha-kyung (Choi Sung-eun) met one summer when they were just 12 years old. Their bond was forged between bickering and tenderness: a pencil thrown, a meal wasted on ketchup, then years punctuated by "99 wars" and "99 peace treaties". A unique bond, destined to fall apart.

Years later, the tone changes. Do-ha confesses in a voice-over, "I didn't know our war would last this long." When they meet again, Ha-kyung, now scarred by loss and resentment, blurts out, "Looks like my summer will be unlucky again this year." Their once-bright relationship has turned into an emotional battlefield.

A love triangle and buried truths

Their shared past resurfaces when they fight over ownership of the duplex where it all began. Do-ha wants to keep it, Ha-kyung wants to get rid of it. Their quarrel takes a legal turn, under the watchful eye of Seo Soo-hyuk (Kim Gun-woo), Do-ha's lawyer, who ends up falling for Ha-kyung. Meanwhile, the specter of Baek Do-youngDo-ha's twin brother hangs over their story: it was with him that Ha-kyung really shared his childhood memories.
