Netflix has announced production of its new drama “The Facade of Love” (also known as «Love Affair»), featuring an all-star cast including Lee Dong-wook, Jeon So-nee, Jung Yu-mi and Lee Jong-won.
This project marks the return of director Mo Wan-il, known for “The World of the Married”, and promises an intense story centered on human relationships and their flaws.
The drama revolves around 4 characters whose lives are turned upside down after an unexpected night away from home, in an unusual setting.

A story of desire, tension and fragile relationships
At the heart of the story, Ji-hun and Hu-kyung meet by chance and experience a night that profoundly upsets their equilibrium. Back in Korea, they find themselves unable to ignore the attraction between them, despite the consequences for those around them.
Lee Dong-wook plays Ji-hun, a man caught between reason and emotion, whose inner conflict should be at the heart of the plot. Opposite him, Jeon So-nee lends his features to Hu-kyung, a fascinating yet enigmatic character who becomes a pivotal figure in the story.

Jung Yoo-mi plays Sun-hee, Ji-hun's wife, confronted with a reality that challenges her daily life. Her role should explore the complex emotions linked to the discovery of a difficult truth.

Lee Jong-won completes the quartet as Sun-hee's younger brother Dae-hee, whose gradual involvement in this relationship dynamic promises to intensify tensions.

With this combination of talents and a plot centered on the cracks in human relationships, “The Facade of Love” promises to be a drama rich in emotion and nuance.
The series will soon be available on Netflix.
