Disney+ has unveiled the first images from season 2 of A Shop for Killersconfirming an explosive comeback for Lee Dong-wook and Kim Hye-joon. Presented at the Disney+ Originals Preview 2025 in Hong Kong, this new season promises a spectacular ramp-up in action and development of Jin Man's mysterious past.

Adapted from the novel by Kang Ji-young, the series follows Jung Ji-an, a young woman who discovers the secret and dangerous legacy hidden behind her uncle's seemingly mundane business. After surviving a first wave of assassins, she must now face even more fearsome killers.
Season 2: more intense, more extensive and more dangerous
Lee Dong-wook shared his amazement at the success of the first season: "I thought it might work, but I didn't expect it to be so successful. I'm very grateful that it worked so well that we're getting a 2nd season." He adds that "the mystery surrounding Jin Man continues in season 2" and promises "even more intense action on a much larger scale".

Director Lee Kwon also confirms the more muscular tone of this sequel: "Kim Hye-joon fired a lot of real guns this time. With blanks, of course, but you'll see how much she's practiced." As for Lee Dong-wook, he confides that he "shed blood, sweat and tears" for this role, facing trials "he hadn't experienced in season 1".
An expanded plot and fearsome new faces
Season 2 expands beyond the tight confines of the first season, previously limited to a single day. The secret Babylon organization is finally revealed, along with a duo of Japanese mercenaries sent to track down Jin Man... and mysteriously linked to his past.
Several new actors join the cast:
- Hyunri (Pachinko) plays Q, leader of the Babylon Asia mercenary team.
- Masaki Okada (Drive My Car) plays J, his younger brother and co-leader of the unit.
- Jung Yun-ha (Big Bet, Exhuma) plays Kusanagi, head of Babylon's East Asia branch.
A more international, darker and more explosive season seems to be in the offing.
A Shop for Killers 2 will be released on Disney+ in the second half of 2026.
