A new literary adaptation project is attracting attention on the Korean drama scene. Lee Chae-min is currently in talks to play one of the main roles in the Korean adaptation of the best-selling Japanese novel « The Miracles of the Namiya General Store" .
Visit February 6, a media outlet reported that the actor had received an offer to join the project. His agency, VARO Entertainment, confirmed the information, adding that Lee Chae-min «is currently examining the proposal».

A cult novel at the heart of a Korean adaptation
Published by bestselling author Higashino Keigo, The Miracles of the Namiya General Store is one of his most emblematic novels. The story follows three thieves who take refuge in an old abandoned store, the Namiy convenience store, a mysterious place where past and present seem to merge.
Answering anonymous letters asking for life advice, the three men gradually discover the secret of an almost miraculous link that connects different eras... and ends up transforming their own destinies. A sensitive tale of humanity, regret and redemption that left a deep impression on readers.
A project still in the casting phase
The Korean adaptation should feature about 10 episodes, and the casting process is currently underway. Little has yet been revealed about staging or channel, but the source material suggests an emotional, introspective drama centered on life choices and second chances.
Lee Chae-min has recently made a name for himself in several productions, including The Tyrant's Chef, Crash Course in Romance and Hierarchy. If he confirms his participation, this project could mark a new milestone in his career, with a role potentially rich in emotional nuance.
No final decision has yet been announced, but expectations are already high for this highly coveted adaptation.
