Last Summer: Lee Jae-wook and Choi Sung-eun rekindle the flame of first love in a nostalgic teaser

Announcements

It's the scent of summer and memories in the air at KBS2. Romantic drama Last Summerscheduled for broadcast on November 1 at 21:20 (KST), has just unveiled its very first teaser, and the least we can say is that it leaves no one indifferent.

Lee Jae-wook and Choi Sung-eun embody Baek Do-ha and Song Ha-kyung, 2 childhood friends who find themselves living side by side in a semi-detached house. Separated by a simple wall, their daily lives cross again, as they once did... But with this closeness also come memories, tensions, and above all, a truth buried for too long.

The teaser opens with an ordinary day: Do Ha, full of energy, begins his routine, while Ha Kyung, now a civil servant in Patan's architecture sector, leads a more sedate life. We then discover a summer village bathed in light, a calm, almost timeless ambience, conducive to the resurgence of emotions.

A bittersweet dynamic develops between the 2 former friends. Ha Kyung, curious, tries to observe him through a small hole in the wall. Do Ha, with a knowing smile, says: "You haven't changed." A simple phrase, but one that speaks volumes about their shared past.

The tension in the exchanges is palpable. "I see you've hired a lawyer," says Ha Kyung, to which Do Ha retorts, "After 2 years, someone sent me a registered letter." Clues are planted, arousing our curiosity as to what really links them.

And then there's that suspended moment: a brush, a glance, a kiss that seems imminent but never comes. "When I see you, I remember when I loved you," murmurs Do Ha's voice, as the image takes us back to their adolescence, full of innocence and thrills.

Last Summer seems to want to capture that special blend of melancholy, unfulfilled love and buried wounds. A drama that promises to be as sweet as it is spicy, between past and present, between what could have been and what could be reborn.

See you on November 1 (we're awaiting the announcement of an international broadcaster) to find out if summer memories can rekindle a story that perhaps never really had an ending.
