The cast of the upcoming drama “Sleeping Doctor”(working title) continues to take shape, with a new name added to the discussions. After Kim Sung-cheol and Jin Ki-joo, it's Kim Yoon-hye's turn to be associated with the project.
On April 1, YTN Star revealed that the actress had confirmed her participation. This information was quickly qualified by her agency, J,WIDE Company, which stated: “She is currently considering the offer positively.”
This new project is already attracting attention with its blend of romance and strong human themes, in an unconventional medical setting.

A trauma-focused medical drama
“Sleeping Doctor” tells the story of Hong Gyeong, a psychiatrist scarred by the trauma of a past sexual assault. Convinced that she has overcome this ordeal, she finally opens the private clinic of her dreams.
But everything changes when she develops a form of narcolepsy, falling asleep in front of her patients. This unexpected disorder undermines her daily routine and threatens her business, forcing her to confront once again what she thought she'd left behind.
Her meeting with Nam Ji-oh, a freelance doctor as brilliant as he is atypical, is a turning point. Thanks to his impressive knowledge and outside perspective, he gradually helps her to move forward and rebuild her life.
Casting still under discussion
Jin Ki-joo is currently in talks to play Hong Gyeong, while Kim Sung-cheol could play Nam Ji-oh.
For her part, Kim Yoon-hye has been offered the role of Jang Hye-jung, a nurse working at the Healer Mental Health Clinic, where the heroine practices. A character who could play an important role in the balance of the story.
The drama is still in the casting phase, and official confirmations are expected in the coming weeks.
