South Korea's TVING platform is preparing a stunning comeback this autumn with Dear Xa highly anticipated original series that promises to shake up the melo-romance genre. Brought to you by Kim Yoo-jung, Kim Young-dae and Kim Do-hoonThe series promises to be as intense as it is disturbing. The first glimpse of the script reading has just been unveiled, revealing an electric atmosphere and a trio of fully committed actors.

A heroine as fascinating as she is fearsome
In Dear X, Kim Yoo-jung plays Baek Ah-jin, a renowned actress at the peak of her career, who has built her success by skilfully manipulating those around her. But behind the mask of celebrity lies a woman scarred by deep childhood wounds. As the story unfolds, her double facet (between icy beauty and silent cruelty) is laid bare, as she spirals downward.


The actress impressed on reading the script, embodying with intensity the complexity of this character ready to do anything to survive in a ruthless universe.
A heartbreaking love ready to sacrifice everything
At his side, Kim Young-dae plays Yoon Joon-seo, a man deeply in love with Ah Jinconvinced that his love can save her. Faithful since childhood, he represents her only refuge, but also her greatest vulnerability. His devotion borders on obsession, to the point of denying his own principles to protect her, even if it means destroying everything in his path.


The faithful, tormented shadow
Finally, Kim Do-hoon plays Kim Jae-oh, a man broken by paternal abuse, who finds a reason to live when she crosses paths with Baek Ah-jin. Sharing the same invisible scars, he becomes her shadow, ready to follow her to the end of the night. An unstable but deeply touching character, whose silent presence heightens the drama.


Dear X has more than just a strong cast. Behind the camera is director Lee Eung-bok, famous for such hit dramas as Goblin, Mr. Sunshine and Descendants of the Sun. Here he is joined by Park So-hyun as co-director, and screenwriter Choi Ja-won, winner of the prestigious KBS Drama Special competition in 2018. Based on the popular webtoon Dear Xwritten by Ban Ji-woon, who already has a strong fanbase.
