Kim Woo-seok joins Kim Ji-won they will soon share the bill for the drama Dr. X: The Age of the White Mafiaa dark medical thriller produced by SBS for its weekend slot.

According to the Korean media OSEN, Kim Woo-seok recently accepted the male lead role after being approached by the production team. He will play Park Tae-gyeong, a young intern plunged into the merciless world of medicine. This project marks the actor's return to the small screen 3 years after Forbidden Marriage: Joseon's Marriage Ban aired in 2022 on MBC.
Facing him, Kim Ji-won as Gye Su-jeonga genius surgeon confronted with a corrupt society. Known for his breakthrough roles in Fight for my way and more recently Queen of TearsKim Ji-won's strong character is haunted by a dark past.
Doctor X is a dark medical drama whose story centers on a genius surgeon who has gone into exile because of a dark past, and who fearlessly confronts a corrupt world relying solely on her uncommon surgical skills.
The series, scripted by Pyeon Seong-geun and produced by Lee Jeong-rimis co-produced by 2 industry giants: Studio Dragon and Studio S. It promises an explosive mix of dramatic tension, social criticism and breathtaking surgical scenes.
The filming of Dr. X will start in the second half of 2025with a scheduled for release in 2026. In the meantime, fans can already look forward to this new collaboration between 2 very popular actors, whose on-screen chemistry is already generating great anticipation.
