A wind of reunion is blowing through the world of Kdramas. According to several Korean media reports, Kim Woo-bin is in negotiations to play the lead role in tvN's next drama, Gift, directed by Kim Kyu-tae, whose credits include Our Blues, It's Okay, That's Love and Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo.

A baseball coach with unexpected powers
Gift tells the story of a baseball coach who, after surviving a fire, discovers extraordinary abilities. He decides to put his new-found destiny at the service of an amateur team, becoming their manager. Although the cast has not yet been confirmed, this project will mark the return of director Kim Kyu-tae, whose dramas remain among the most memorable of the past decade.
Kim Woo-bin, between Netflix and tvN
If confirmed, this drama will seal the reunion of Kim Woo-bin and Kim Kyu-tae, four years after Our Blues (2022). Before that, the actor will reunite with fans in the Netflix series Genie, Make a Wish, alongside Bae Suzy and Ahn Eun-jin, and will take part in the show GBRB: Joy Pops Laugh Pops with long-time friends Lee Kwang-soo and Doh Kyung-soo from EXO. Shooting on Gift is due to start early next year, but tvN has yet to confirm a broadcast date.
