On June 23, 2025, actor Kim Soo-hyun and his Gold Medalist agency once again filed a libel suit against Garosero and its director Kim Se-ui, as well as the family of the late Kim Sae-ron, after serious accusations were made against him. This action follows a press conference organized in May by Kim Se-Ui and lawyers for the family of deceased actress Kim Sae-ron, who accused him of violations of the Child Welfare Act and false accusations.
The allegations were based on a audio recordingclaiming to reveal private Kim Sae-ron with relatives, in which compromising remarks were reported. However, Kim Soo-hyun's team quickly refuted these accusations, explaining that the audio files in question had been altered using artificial intelligence technology. The actor and his lawyers have denounced what they see as a deliberate attempt to tarnish his image, promising to fight back with legal action.
The process leading to this complaint took time, due to the legal formalities required to identify the accusers. It was only after obtaining the necessary information, around June 13, that Kim Soo-hyun was able to finalize his complaint.
In addition to the claim for false accusation, Kim Soo-hyun is also suing Garosero and Kim Se Ui for defamation, as well as for violation of electronic communications laws. The actor has also filed a lawsuit seeking 120 billion won (€75,296,616) in compensation, following allegations that he had a relationship with Kim Sae-ron when she was a minor.
