Five years on Love Alarm, Kim So-hyun and Song Kang could once again share the bill. The 2 actors are currently in negotiations to star in the new romantic drama « White Scandal" .
Following the initial news about Song Kang, it was reported that Kim So-hyun had been offered the female lead role. Her agency confirmed: «Kim So-hyun has received an offer for White Scandal and is currently studying it.»
Song Kang's agency stated: «Song Kang has received an offer to star in White Scandal and examines it.»
A romance born of past scandal
Adapted from a popular web novel, White Scandal tells the story of Ji Eun-seol, a promising former child actress whose career collapsed after she took responsibility for her older brother's crimes. Refusing to give up on her dreams, she now works as a road manager.
She crosses paths with Dan Yi-hyuk, a central figure in the past affair. The 2 begin a contractual relationship as they seek to reveal the hidden truth.
Song Kang was offered the role of Dan Yi-hyuk, national superstar and illegitimate son of Group NB. In order to respect his mother's last wishes and keep himself out of the succession battle, he accepts this contract with Ji Eun-seol.
A project expected after the army
If the two actors agree, it will be their reunion 5 years later. Love Alarm. Kim So-hyun, known for her roles in River Where the Moon Rises, My Lovely Liar, Serendipity's Embrace or even The Tale of Nokdu, is already attracting attention for its next project.
Song Kang, recently returned from his military service, is currently shooting Four Hands. This would be her first romantic drama since her return, after making her mark in Love Alarm, My Demon and Nevertheless.
The screenplay is by Kim Ga-eun (Call It Love) and directed by Kim Chul-gyu (Flower of Evil).
