Kim Ji-hoon to make much-anticipated special appearance in upcoming drama Dear X. Inspired by a webtoon, the series stars Kim Yoo-jung as Baek Ah-jin, a leading actress who climbs the ladder of the entertainment industry by manipulating those who cross her path. Beneath her perfect looks, she hides a cold, calculating nature, leaving a trail of wounded people in her quest for fame.
A former baseball player with a big heart
In Dear X, Kim Ji-hoon plays Choi Jung-ho, a former professional baseball player turned café owner. Driven by kindness and integrity, he becomes the first real trusted adult in Baek Ah-jin's life. Their relationship begins when she starts working part-time in his café after high school. The first images reveal his gentle, sincere gaze, filled with compassion for the young woman, underlining the emotional depth of his character.
A brief but striking role
The actor shared his experience: "It was a short but very enjoyable shoot. I had many discussions with director Lee Eung-bok to build a character grounded in reality," before adding, "I hope my appearance at the beginning of the series will help viewers immerse themselves in the story."
Kim Ji-hoon also expressed his admiration for his partner: "I can't wait to discover the powerful impact Kim Yoo-jung will bring to her interpretation of Baek Ah-jin."
