After several years away from Korean screens, Kim Jeong-hoon is finally making a comeback. The actor and singer, who made his name in the legendary Princess Hours, has been confirmed in the cast of the drama Marital Scandal: Pandora's Secret. The news was announced on October 10 by iMBC Entertainment, then confirmed by its agency Management Yul: "Kim Jung-hoon will appear in Marital Scandal: Pandora's Secret. "

Photo of Kim Jeong Hoon posted at the end of September 2025 on Instagram, with the caption "My villa (in a drama)" which suggests it was taken on the set of this new drama.

A thriller at the heart of high society

The plot takes place in an upscale neighborhood where secrets, extramarital affairs, surveillance and a thirst for revenge are all intertwined. Kim Jeong-hoon plays Woo Jin, a psychologist who has recently moved into the neighborhood. Behind his calm, benevolent exterior, Woo Jin keenly observes the desires and lies of his neighbors. He soon becomes the trigger for a series of events as unpredictable as they are scandalous.

This role marks a turning point for the actor, who had put his career on pause since 2019, following controversies linked to a past relationship, as well as a road accident in 2023. Since then, he had focused mainly on his activities in Japan, far from the Korean sets.

With Marital Scandal: Pandora's Secret, Kim Jeong-hoon gives himself a chance to reconnect with the public and redefine its image, by choosing an ambiguous character at the heart of a dark and intense story.
