Kim Hee-sun, Han Hye-jin and Jin Seo-yeon: between recklessness and realism in No Next Life

Announcements

TV CHOSUN has released new photos of its upcoming drama No Next Lifewith Kim Hee-sun, Han Hye-jin and Jin Seo-yeon. These images perfectly illustrate the duality of the passage of time, showing the heroines over a glass in two different eras: their dreamy 20s, and their reflective, nostalgic 40s.

This bittersweet comedy follows three 41-year-old women exhausted by daily life, work and parenthood. Each of them takes on new challenges, and the series promises to depict with humor and emotion the torments, uncertainties and minor dramas that accompany the passage to midlife.

3 friends, 2 eras, one friendship

Kim Hee-sun plays Jo Na-jung, a former home shopping star who once earned a 6-figure salary. Today, she has put her career on hold to raise her 2 sons. Han Hye-jin plays Gu Joo-young, an art center director who seems to have everything she needs to be happy, but who hides an intimate struggle: trying to have a child with her asexual husband. Last but not least, Jin Seo-yeon plays Lee Il-li, a magazine editor, still single but deeply attached to her romantic ideals and the idea of the perfect marriage.

The new photos show the trio in parallel in 2011 and 2025. In their 20s, Na-jung, Joo-young and Il-li find themselves on the rooftop of Il-li's Bar, smiling and full of ambition, raising a glass to a future full of promise. Fourteen years later, the same women meet in a cosy lounge, surrounded by children's toys. Carefree laughter has given way to knowing, nostalgic glances, as they share a drink and reflect on the paths they've taken.
